Thank you for taking the time to look at our fundraising page!
About us: We are a group of 12 neighbors and friends that are fed up with cancer and are just trying to make a bit of a difference. We are only in our mid 30s to mid 40s and we should not know as many people our age that have fought, are fighting, will fight and have died trying to fight this disease - enough is enough! Three of us will be running Grandma's full marathon (Marc Thompson, Sara Kohn, and Lacie Farmer) while the less insane 9 will be doing the 1/2 (Tana Thompson, Tiffany Rohne, Amanda Reber, Stephanie Stabenow, Matt Stabenow, Amy Remitz, Naima Sbai, Tammy Rennaker, and Melissa Fienup).
You probably recognize us from our newspaper article that circled the globe: http://forestlaketimes.com/2017/03/07/neighborhood-rallies-to-fight-cancer-through-marathon/
In all seriousness - we need all of the help we can get to meet our team's goal of $30,000. We know this is a LOT to ask and we do not take it lightly! No amount is too small and this money will be used for research to create better treatments and hopefully lead to a cure one day - not just for blood cancers, but ALL cancers and other terminal diseases. In the mean time, we hope to raise awareness, inspire others and let cancer know it does NOT get to be the boss of us!

Much love! <3
