Brookville Area Little League (B.A.L.L.) was established over 60 years ago in our small northwestern town of Brookville, Pennsylvania. It is here that members of our community strive to teach children and young adults, ages 5-16, about the importance of character, sportsmanship and teamwork as well as develop leadership skills, that will lead them throughout their lives.

Purpose
Baseball and softball embody the discipline of teamwork. They challenge players towards perfection of physical skills, and bring into play excitement of tactics and strategy. The very nature of baseball and softball also teaches that while every player eventually strikes out or is on a losing team, there is always another chance for success in the next at-bat or game.
Little League is a program of service to youth. It is geared to provide an outlet of healthful activity and training, under good leadership, in the atmosphere of wholesome community participation. The movement is dedicated to helping the youth of all race and ethnic backgrounds, along with establishing no social barriers that prohibit participation.
Brookville Area Little League (B.A.L.L.) provides the services of teaching the game baseball and softball while instilling positive qualities in our youth. Such as teamwork, co-operation, respecting authority.
Objective
The objective of the B.A.L.L. shall be to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens. To achieve this objective, the B.A.L.L. will provide a supervised program under the Rules and Regulations of Little League Baseball, Incorporated. All Directors, Officers and Members shall bear in mind that the attainment of exceptional athletic skill or the winning of games is secondary, and the molding of future citizens is of prime importance.
In accordance with Section 501-(c)-(3) of the Federal Internal Revenue Code, B.A.L.L. shall operate exclusively as a non-profit, educational organization, providing a supervised program of competitive baseball and softball games. No part of the net earnings shall inure to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual; no substantial part of the activities of which is carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and which does not participate in or intervene in any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office.
Goal
B.A.L.L. goals include the continuation of providing service to our youth while trying to increase family participation, as we are trying to make B.A.L.L. more family friendly. We are continually striving for facility improvements to better serve our youth and the implementation of ASAP safety plan to ensure a more safe and productive league for the youth of today, as well as the youth of the future. B.A.L.L. has been around for over 60 years we want to take the steps that will ensure that it will be around for another 60 years and beyond.
History
Little League baseball has had a long and positive effect on the youth in Brookville and the surrounding communities. The first Brookville Area Little League (B.A.L.L.) constitution was written and signed December 8th, 1954 and was approved by Little League Baseball in 1956. However, Little league was established in 1949. Here we are over years later and B.A.L.L. is still an important part of the youth that we serve.
Opportunity
B.A.L.L. provides the opportunity for youth in the Brookville area to play baseball and softball. Each Little League Charter has a defined area to provide their services. B.A.L.L.'s boundary map includes communities in Jefferson County, such as Corsica, Coolspring, Cooksburg, Sigel, Hazen, and Knoxdale. The boundary map includes the townships of Pinecreek, Clover, Warsaw, Eldred, Barnett, Heath, Rose and Polk, as well as the Borough of Brookville.
